:a mid-may update:

I figured it was time for a little update.
It has been quite lovely here lately. We've been working on our garden and getting good and dirty outside. Our little Gus is growing super fast and is continuing to observe the middle of the night as an ideal time to be wide awake. Eventually he will learn his night and day.
In terms of the shop .. I'm still enjoying a break in sewing, and plan on it for a while longer. The way I see it  the kids are only little for so long, so I will get back to it when I can squeeze it in.

: a tuesday update :

It has been almost two weeks since we brought Gus home and all is slowly returning to normal. I was sidelined the first week with a spinal headache (boo) and as of this past weekend I have been back to my old self (yay).
I plan on getting back into the making mood soon .. but for now I'm soaking up time with this little family and enjoying all this lovely spring weather.

:: Hello Gus ::

Hello there fine folks!
It's been a bit since I've updated .. and with good reason. Our little fella decided to show up three weeks early, so I found myself in the hospital on April 10th surrounded by lots of love, family, and this sweet face.

It's been a week now and we are all adjusting quite well. Ruby and Harvey have been in complete awe of him since he came home. It definitely makes me smile to see this little family continue to grow.

: patches galore :

As of late I haven't been sewing quite as much.

Our new fella is pretty much at go time any day now .. so I've been making sure to spend most of my time with the kids and with getting this house ready for a new little life. I've been prepping the shop for a bit of a break so I can take care of this brood.

I've spent the last little bit updating pictures and adding a few new items here and there. I'm not going to put the shop on vacation mode or anything .. I'm just planning on devoting a lot less time to keeping it up for a bit. So making sure it is in a good place to do that is a great way to give me a little peace of mind. 

Those new items here and there have mostly been patches, with the exception of one new bag. I have got to say, I'm really enjoying making these patches. They are oh so fun to whip up.

:easter:

I hope everyone had a lovely holiday weekend. We spent it surrounded by family and friends .. and lots of sugar. That sugar is now resulting in a recovery day ... slightly cranky and craving chocolate at 8am .. Ruby and Harvey are a complete delight today. (ha)
